Not new equipment but Alana asked me to promote these | The Apple AirPods return
Though not cutting edge these can still cut you…Let me rephrase that. Though not brand new these will be branded in our memory forever..Better? Okay lets begin. The difference between the AirPods Gen1 & Gen 2 is the carrying case aka the charging case.
Basically you charge the Gen1 by using a Lightning cable. The Gen2 has the ability to use a Lighting cable and a wireless charger mat. You need a charging mat which you have to purchase separately if you don’t have access to one.
That is why the price discrepancy exists between Gen1 and Gen2. And Gen2 does have the ability to hook up to Siri. So, that is basically it. The sound quality is exactly the same except the Gen2 has Siri to talk through.
The battery play life on a full charge is 4 hours plus 24 more from the carrying case battery. Just pop them back in to the and they will do a quick charge. A quick charge is that you can charge the AirPods for 15 minutes and get enough juice for 2-3 hours.
They do fit nicely in the ear, but I wouldn’t recommend them for basketball. Jogging or at the gym would be a great way to enjoy these.
So, these Apple Airpods are a great “Airy” value for this current price…okay, okay. Yes. I get it.
The Bose QC35 II Wireless Bluetooth Headphones w/Noise Cancelling
Ahhhh. Thee Bose QC35 II. A most durable and desirable set of headphones you could ever want. A very lightweight and comfortable setup this has. You can wear these for hours on end without sweaty ear syndrome and with airy and nicely cushioned earpads makes this set of headphones one of the best in the comfort arena. The earpads are easily removed for easy replacement too.
It’s a Bose so to say it has Active Noise Control (ANC) is like saying will the sun come out the next morning. Bose is renowned to have one of the best, if not the best ANC available out there in headphone world. There is a 3 level button on the left headphone that switches the level off, low and high. It works nicely when you are outside in the city or a busy coffee shop.
Included in the Bose QC 35 II is a one button activated Google Assistant. The headphones instantly listen and responds very quickly to questions you ask. For iOS users it really makes no sense to use Google Assistant since they already have Siri but you can still download the app to use on your iOS device.
The sounds from these headphones will sound great to 95% of the population that hear these sleek, low profile minimally designed headphones. For the rest there is a downloadable app, The Bose Connect app, which will allow you to customize your EQ settings to fit your wants in a headphone.
It has a battery that will last 20 hours on a full charge and you need a charge you can use its enclosed USB cable to charge up. And offers a very easy pairing process. Just touch your smartphone to the headphone and viola…it’s paired.
Next thing you know the Bose QC35 II will be serving you breakfast in bed…a man can dream.
Sennheiser Momentum 3 Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones
So delicious, so tasty, so yummy. These headphones are quality personified. Made of premium leather and metal gives it a durable fit and feel.
They do weigh a bit more than most contenders in the arena that it competes with at a weight of 305 grams but still light enough to prevent head fatigue. I wouldn’t wear these to the gym, but to listen to them in a favorite armchair or in an office environment would be sublime.
They are snug but do not exert any undue clamping force on the head making these very easy to wear for hours on end. The earcups and headband being made of supple soft leather and soft cushy memory foam only increases the comfort level.
But to wear these outside under the sun for long periods of time only invites ear sweat to accumulate and make you want to take of the headphones. Wearing them under a tree in a park setting would be a perfect setting to wear these or even walking your dog. They are not made for vigorous activity like the gym.
Battery life is a pedestrian 17 hours, but that is at 50% volume with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) on. I’m sure that if ANC was off the hours of operation would surely increase if the volume is the at the same level of course.
The ANC, Actine Noise Cancellation is among the best in its class. Whether you want peace and quit or if you want to immerse yourself in your tunes this headphone is for you.
These headphones are smart too. They can recognize when you take the headphones off and automatically pause your music. When you place them back on the music will resume playing.
It has Bluetooth 5.0 which allows the headphone to pair with up to 2 devices at once. And doesn’t allow any syncing delays when watching video sources such as YouTube or Netflix. Great job Sennheiser!
The sound quality can be considered balanced and neutral and will sound extraordinary to most. But for those who want more out of their headphones there is a Sennheiser app for your smartphone. From there you can customize your sound to your liking.
The Sennheiser Momentum 3. Sound gud to you? Eh Fugetaboutit.
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 w/ANC and Customizable Touch Control
These earphones have a smaller profile than its predecessor and have changed their shape to be more ergonomic. And the Momentum 2 still keep the same water resistance as the 1’s.
These earphones have a very handy feature. An auto play and pause ability. If you take one earphone is taken out the audio stops. When it is put back in audio play will resume…Nice, huh? I thought so to.
Battery life for the 2’s has expanded to a claimed 7 hours plus 21 hours with the charging case.
A fully charged battery and charging case will last for a combined 28 hours total with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) off.
The 2’s also uses Bluetooth 5.1 giving the Momentum 2 a non latency issues for the playback of video services like YouTube and Netflix.
The sound quality is like a conservative balanced auditory experience. A majority of people will love the way that the Sennheiser Momentum 2 headphones sounds.
But for those who want more a downloadable smartphon app is available to customize your sound profile…Do you hear me? Get it? Hear…forget it.
